[Review] KF Global Bridge II: Cultural Events Commemorating the 60th Anniversary of Korea-Thailand Diplomatic Relations “Sabai Sabai”

Sabai Sabai, the cultural program that opened on September 19, is currently presenting exhibitions, performances, and films showcasing the nation of Thailand. It is the second part of the KF Global Bridge Program and will come to an end with a film screening on November 14.
  Out of Place, a Korea-Thailand contemporary art exchange exhibition, features eight individual and group artists from the two countries and will close on November 9. The exhibition shows a variety of artworks exploring the phenomenon of how detailed personal experiences and observations develop into social manifestations. The opening of the exhibition was accompanied by several colorful programs designed to reach out to viewers, including the Global Food with HPARK Tour and the curator’s talk, “Contemporary Fine Art of Thailand Seen through Data.”
  On October 10, Thai dancer Ronnarong Khampha gave a modern dance presentation before the exhibited works. He choreographed his own performance, entitled “From Man to Man,” based upon the theme of the exhibition and inspired by a poem written by King Rama V (1853-1910), delighting the audience with the flavor of Lanna dance from the northern region of his native Thailand.
  Launched amid great expectations, “Sabai Sabai” has revealed exciting new aspects of Thailand and has been praised for having brought to Korea Thai artists previously unknown to most Koreans. After Sabai Sabai is adjourned on November 14, the KF will prepare for the next Global Bridge program, and it looks forward to receiving the interest and support of culture lovers everywhere.
