“Hidden Letters” Exhibition
From September 28 to November 18, the KF and the Bulgarian Embassy in Korea are jointly hosting an
exhibition, Hidden Letters, online and at the KF Gallery in Seoul.
The exhibition was originally an outdoor public art project whose aim was to install benches in the form of
Cyrillic letters throughout the city to give the public access to the native script of Bulgaria. This is the
first time for the exhibition to be presented indoors.
Highlighting the formation of Cyrillic and Hangeul, the exhibition attempts to seek common ground between the
two alphabets. Items displayed include six Cyrillic letter-shaped benches and related materials as well as
interactive media artworks based on motifs from both Cyrillic and Hangeul.
