Entries Sought for Public Diplomacy Program
From February 27–March 20, the KF will accept applications for its Public Diplomacy Program. Participants will have the chance to take part in KF public diplomacy projects and join the Young Public Diplomatic Corps, leading the push to publicize Korea worldwide.
Through the competition, public diplomacy teams will be selected and awarded up to 20 million won in financial support to implement their own public diplomacy projects. Meanwhile, for the young public diplomats, up to 2.5 million won will be given to each team to support their public diplomacy activities, and outstanding diplomats will have the opportunity to implement their projects overseas.
Last year, eight public projects and more than 70 public ambassadors were selected. The projects and youths contributed to enhancing Korea’s image in the international community and vitalized individual exchange between people in and outside of the country.
With high hopes for public participation in diplomacy this year, the KF expects citizens to show keen interest in the upcoming competition and lend their support to other such public diplomacy activities seeking to make deep impressions on a global scale.
