[Infographic] Korea’s National Brand Value Measured by Diplomats and PR Experts
A nation’s brand value immensely affects its status in the world. Many countries recognize the importance of brand value as it has a big impact on the image of their people, businesses, and products. Korea ranked high in a recent evaluation by the 2020 Country Brand Awards, in which a jury of former and incumbent diplomats and global PR experts measured and scored countries’ national brand values. Awards were given in three categories—“Doing Business,” “Doing Tourism,” and “Overall.” Korea won the gold medal in the “Doing Business” category and the bronze medal in the “Overall” category. The jury highly praised Korea’s countermeasures taken in the face of the paradigm shift incurred by COVID-19, and its capacity to attract foreign investment and promote export.
