This solo exhibition by Jung Yeon-doo, which is being sponsored by the Korea Foundation and organized by the Japan Mito Arts Foundation, will be shown at the Art Tower Mito, Japan, on Nov. 8, 2014 through Feb. 1, 2015. As Jung Yeon-doo’s first solo exhibition in Japan, it seeks to define the relationship between reality and virtual reality and the seen and the unseen. The exhibition features a 3-D media art installation that the artist d based on his encounter with a blind man in 2012, along with joint projects with illusionist Lee Eun-gyeol and the convergence technology department of Seoul National University. During the exhibition, Korean curators will participate in a symposium event to discuss various issues about the contemporary arts of Korea and Japan.
