Opening Ceremony for Diplomatic Fellows (2008)
March 6

The Foundation hosted an opening ceremony and dinner for 34 foreign diplomats from 24 countries, who have been selected as participants of the Foundation’s Korean language and culture program for 2008. With the attendance of Foundation executives and staff and representatives of the Seoul National University’s Language Education Institute, the ceremony and luncheon provided the diplomats with an opportunity to introduce themselves to each other and develop personal relationships.

‘Silk Road: The Road of Civilizations Where East Met West’ Lecture Series

The KF Cultural Center offers a public lecture series on the Silk Road. Ten Korean scholars of the Silk Road will present lectures on this historic route of romance and intrigue, which played a key role in facilitating cultural exchange between the East and the West.

Opening Ceremony for Korean Language Fellows (2008)

The Foundation hosted an opening ceremony for some 50 KF Language Fellows who will be participating in the Foundation’s Korean Language Training Program(2008). The ceremony was joined by the Fellows, Foundation representatives, and language instructors of Sogang University.

Clay, Fire and Beauty­ - Masterpieces in Ceramics from the V&A

A total of 117 ceramic masterpieces from the collection of the Victoria & Albert, one of the world’s most distinguished museums of art and design, and a popular visitor attraction in London, is being exhibited for the first time in Korea at the KF Cultural Center.

The 12th Annual Conference of Russia’s Koreanists in 2008
March 27-28

The conference is an opportunity to address such issues as Russia’s efforts to resolve North Korea’s nuclear issue, and Russian perspectives on inter-Korean relations and unification, and North and South Korean politics, economy, society and culture.
