- The Best Dutch Book Designs meet Korean artists' books
From June 16 through August 10, the KF and the Dutch Embassy in Korea
will jointly hold the Best Dutch Book Designs exhibition at the KF
Gallery and online via the KF website.
The exhibition will feature works recognized by the Best Dutch Book
Designs contest, which has been held annually since 1926 in the
Netherlands, a country well-known for its graphic and book design.
The works on display were chosen by a jury of experts who considered
not only the graphic design and typographic elements of the books, but
also their materials, printing methods, and the quality of their
.
A good book is the result of an encounter between content and
materials — a collaboration between designers, publishers, and the
graphic design industry that merges their creativity and originality.
Viewers will appreciate the tactile and three-dimensional nature of
the items on show, and will also be able to learn about the Best Book
Design from All Over the World contest, another prestigious
competition that judges the world’s most beautiful books.
The exhibition will take place in-person at the KF Gallery from June
16 to August 10, and will also be available to viewers on the KF
website (www.kf.or.kr). For more information, please refer to the website.
*The offline exhibition at the KF Gallery will be held in accordance
with the Korean government’s guidelines on social distancing.
