[Jeju Playbook]Jeju: Home to Panoramic Views of the Sky
Shiny, shiny leaves. Since I moved to Jeju Island, I have been most frequently impressed by the shiny leaves on the trees. The vast sky presenting an uninterrupted view of the leaves swaying in the Jeju wind seems to have reawakened me to the bright beauty of the foliage. When I see the sea under the blue sky, and the Jeju beaches whose waters are quite differently colored despite their geographical proximity to each other, I tend to exclaim, “Wow.” But I find the greatest comfort and ease in the everyday scenery I enjoy as part of my daily routine.
As the KF’s main office is located in the hills of southern Seogwipo, there are lots of places where one can take in the ocean view. One of the privileges of working at the KF’s main office is that you can go out to the terrace from time to time during the workday and stretch your limbs, enjoying the scenic sight. In the evening, when the sun sets particularly beautifully, my colleagues and I take pictures of the sky, appreciating the panoramic view granted by the absence of skyscrapers. We realize how lucky we are to see such wonderful scenery at work, where we spend most of our days. I hope I will remain a relaxed person who always recognizes and admires the beauty of my daily surroundings.
